Link & Go es un coche eléctrico urbano, que reconsidera el uso de la tecnología en el uso del automóvil. Innovaciones desarrolladas durante el proyecto “Link & go“, contribuirán al avance de los cambios de diseño para futuros vehículos, al tiempo que reduce el impacto medioambiental del transporte urbano.
Las tecnologías integradas del proyecto se preparara para que los usuarios de los vehículos se sientan cómodos con la idea de conducción automática y aparcamiento. Proyectandose, asi mismo nuevos sistemas de recarga y de las infraestructuras para las mismas. Ofrecen nuevas funciones en el automóvil, y fomentan el uso de coches compartidos mediante la conexión de los vehículos a las redes sociales.

Link & Go, fue uno de los ganadores de la convocatoria de proyectos puestos en marcha por el Consejo General del departamento de Yvelines en 2012 , titulado “Smart Cars para la Ciudad del Futuro“. Link & Go es la continuación lógica del AKKA Astute, que ganó premios en 2010. En marzo de 2013, el prototipo Link & Go se dió a conocer a la industria y al público en general, en el Salón Internacional de Ginebra.
Akka Technologies lidera un consorcio creado en el marco de este proyecto. Sus miembros son el INRIA (Instituto Nacional para la Investigación en Informática y Automática), ControlSys y DBT.
El Link & Go, aporta unas tecnologías innovadoras y una capacidad mejorada del vehículo para determinar su ubicación con SLAM y el GPS convencional. Incorporá una suspensión direccional, que ofrece movilidad y maniobrabilidad increible. Monta componentes que permiten la comunicación entre varios de los subconjuntos del automóvil, y con otros vehículos o con las infraestructuras exteriores.
Realiza aparcamiento sin conductor, de forma automática en los espacios especificados. Se puede controlar por smartphone. Su diseño contiene unas aberturas asimétricas para facilitar la accesibilidad.
La interfaz gráfica del cuadro de instrumentos, presenta indicadores de la unidad y de administración de energía.
El vehículo es capaz de detectar objetos estáticos o en movimiento en su entorno y actuar apropiadamente.
